EQUITABLE TREATMENT IN SHOOTING

  1. It is the aim of the Isle of Man Target Shooting Federation and its member bodies to ensure that all eligible individuals, irrespective of gender, race, religion, age, colour, social status, sexual orientation or disability, have equal and fair opportunity to be selected to represent the Isle of Man in competitive target shooting at all levels of the sport.

  2. This declaration applies both to competitors and officials. In this context, "officials" mean officers, managers, coaches or any other appointments made by the Federation.

  3. The Federation’s aims include:

  • ensuring that all present and potential members of Isle of Man shooting teams and officials receive fair treatment

  • ensuring that selection procedures are transparent and fair to everyone

  • ensuring that in pursuit of its objects it does not disadvantage any individual through the imposition of any condition or requirement that cannot be fully justified in the circumstances.
  1. In pursuance of this policy the Federation reserves the right to discipline any team member or official who practises discrimination or acts in any other way contrary to the principles set out herein.

  2. The adoption of this or a comparable policy by governing bodies, and its implementation throughout their areas of responsibility, shall be a condition of membership of the Federation.
