50 metre ISSF rifle shooting in the Isle of Man  Print version

'Authorised Range User' Status

In order to ensure that safety obligations are met and good range discipline is maintained, it is a requirement that all users of the Sinclair Range be authorised by the Isle of Man Shooting Club.

Where range users do not wish to become members of the Club but wish solely to enter competitions organised by the Isle of Man Rifle Association or use the range on a casual basis, they should complete an Authorised Range User form which should then be forwarded to the Secretary of the Club. Upon approval, a card acknowledging Authorised Range User status will be issued.

No fee is required to become an Authorised Range User. The standard non-member range fee, however, remains payable on each range use.

Authorised Range Users are not members of the Isle of Man Shooting Club.

Special provisions apply for open meetings and group sessions, details of which may be obtained from the Secretary of the Club.

Anyone wishing to become a member of the Isle of Man Shooting Club should complete an Application for Membership form in the normal way.

These conditions were considered and approved by the Isle of Man Rifle Association Executive Committee on 14 January 1999.
